Senior Project Editor

We have a fabulous new role working for a prestigious Membership Organisation who provide employers with access to over 50 specially developed online courses to help develop their workforce. They are now looking to recruit a Senior Project Editor to be the first point of contact for all their Academy authors, post contract. The Senior Project Editor will work with authors to ensure that content is delivered in a way that will be suitable for interactive learning course development and also ensures that all courses are published on time and within budget. This role can be worked on a hybrid basis, ideally 2 days a week.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

• Being the first point of contact for all content partners following contract, and ensuring that content partners are correctly briefed in content delivery and provide constructive feedback
• Leading on design and development of assigned courses, e.g., signing off on content plans; making key decisions around content design and build; attend regular meetings with assigned content partners
• Managing the manuscript review process Board
• Introducing, demonstrating and presenting the platform to new content partners and guiding content partners through what is required of them in terms of content
• Managing the copyediting and proof-reading process
• Briefing illustrators and ensuring technical illustrative specifications are met
• Commissioning and briefing voice over artists

The successful person will have demonstrable experience of building software such as Articulate or Captivate with knowledge of how to create and upload SCORM files to an LMS and ideally has a working knowledge of how Learning management Systems work. You will have meticulous attention to detail with experience of managing multiple projects at any one time. You might have experience in instructional design or project editing, ideally with some experience of using a Learning Management System and working with external authors or content partners.
