Senior/Publishing Editor (Journals) 12 Month FTC

A prestigious London based publisher is looking for a Publishing Editor and a Senior Publishing Editor to manage their HSS and STM journals portfolio with responsibility over the editorial team.

The ideal candidates will have a solid understanding of the end to end journals publishing process so that best practice for the workflows at every stage can be implemented across all areas. Part of the role will also be monitoring the financial performance and ensuring renewals for each journal in the portfolio are negotiated with partner societies, and that profit and loss statements are promptly updated.

Working collaboratively will be key for this role both internally and externally, so you should be great with maintaining excellent working relationships to ensure actions can be completed on time. You should also have great communication when presenting ideas and information to teams and partners, and should be used to working on multiple projects at the same time.

If you're interested in the Senior Publishing Editor role, you should also have demonstrable experience with successfully building a journals list and a wider understanding of the academic publishing landscape.
