Senior Support Analyst

A leading international academic publisher is seeking a Senior Support Analyst to join their global technical support team. Serving as a single point of contact for their Beijing office, the Senior Support Analyst will be responsible for providing support services and functions. This role will be expected to resolve phone calls and external requests on the top service level, as well as team working with internal staff and support teams to ensure solutions being delivered in time.

It is also necessary for this role to provide technical advice and expertise for technical issues related to hardware and software, providing quick break fix solutions for customer queries and reporting to the appropriate expert team in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in a technical support role and advanced knowledge of computer and server hardware (Windows, Mac and Linux);
  • Certifications such as MCSA, ITIL Foundation v4, VCP and Network + would be highly desirable;
  • Advanced knowledge of VPN and remote connection tools;
  • Experience using SCCM and imaging tools;
  • Experience using scripting tools, PowerShell, and software deployments;
  • Experience with ticketing software such as ServiceNow;
  • Familiarity with Mac OSX, iOS and Windows;
  • Experience supporting iPhones, iPads and Android phones;
  • Solid knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, VMWare, PowerShell, OneDrive, Azure and SharePoint;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese, especially with non-technical customers;
  • Experience using Amazon web services and VMWare would be desirable;
  • Familiarity with Citrix and AWS;
  • Ability to perform physical work suck as lifting/moving monitors and workstations.
