Job Profile:

The Head of Publicity will coordinate successful and high impact publicity and events campaigns, contributing to the children’s corporate comms strategy and assisting with the general management of the press office. This is a senior role within the Marketing & PR team that takes the lead on PR strategy across the list. They will also be deputising for the Marketing & Publicity Director when required as well as line managing one direct report, with opportunity for this to increase. 

Your Role:

Reporting to the Marketing & Publicity Director, working on a huge variety of titles you will plan imaginative, effective and well-executed publicity campaigns working in-house as Head of Publicity in the busy Children’s Publicity Department. You will drive campaigns, communicating continually with authors, agents, the media and other departments internally. You will work collaboratively with others, helping turn our books into bestsellers. You will assist with managing the publicity workload, setting strategic priorities, allocation and trade press relations. You will directly manage one member of staff and a number of freelancers.

The Candidate’s Profile: 
We are keen to hear from Senior Publicists who are looking to steer PR strategy at a growing list and are looking for their next step in the industry. You must be driven, ambitious, and passionate about children’s books, with strong media contacts and confidence with social media. You will have the ability to think creatively and plan high-profile publicity campaigns, across all different spheres of the media landscape. You will have experience in organising events or launches. You will be a motivated individual with a strategic mindset, excellent attention to detail and who enjoys working in an energetic team. You will have some experience in line managing. 

Salary:

Salary for this role starts from £48,000.
