Spanish Editor

If you have high-level Spanish language skills and good experience as an editor then don't miss this rare opportunity of Editor, Spanish! The education division of a global publisher is seeking an Editor to work in their Spanish language learning magazines team, based remotely initially and thereafter in their central London office, with flexibility for some remote working. This role offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

The Editor, Spanish, will be responsible for writing and editing two Spanish language titles whilst liaising with freelance editors to create a third Spanish title. You will be required to produce supplementary products such as audio, visual and online content; establish customer relationships and be continually up-to-date with both the progression and issues within key markets of language education to ensure the continuous development and improvement of products. The writing and editing of the language learning magazines will require you to oversee the production process from concept to print by managing a team of freelance translators, proof readers and evaluators, sourcing additional assistance for the team as and when required.

The successful Editor will have native level Spanish language skills (spoken and written), and excellent general writing, editing, critical thinking and content management skills enabling you to write with ease for secondary school children. You will need to be a highly organised self-motivator who also enjoys working as part of a creative team, possess excellent communication skills, and work with exceptional attention to detail. Sound computer and research skills with good problem solving abilities, to always keep projects on time and to schedule, would be useful. A background of teaching Spanish to Secondary level students would be very beneficial but is not essential.
