Special Sales Manager

We have a very exciting opportunity for a Special Sales Manager to join an independent publisher of best-selling non-fiction, illustrated and children’s books, based in London. You’ll manage a range of accounts, including wholesalers and special sales, and will provide valuable input to new publishing decisions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with sales experience in publishing or retail who is looking for a new challenge.

Key duties:

• Manage a range of UK accounts, including wholesalers, special sales and specialist customers
• Regularly present new titles to customers and process orders
• Proactively find and develop new sales opportunities
• Work with colleagues to create bespoke editions for customers
• Keep up to date with market trends and share feedback and new ideas with the wider team
• Produce sales and marketing materials
• Attend relevant events and tradeshows

Experience / skills required:

• Sales experience in trade publishing or retail is essential
• Special sales experience would be a bonus
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• A proactive and enthusiastic attitude

Salary dependent on experience
