Standards Publishing Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Standards Publishing Manager to join the product management and development team of a leading professional publisher based in London. You will be responsible for managing and developing a standards portfolio from idea generation through to final publication.

 

Key duties:

  • Manage a team and oversee the delivery of work programmes and their associated revenue
  • Responsible for revenue forecasting and taking action to ensure targets are met
  • Maintain an up-to-date market knowledge and develop business cases to meet market needs
  • Work closely with Marketing to ensure appropriate promotional activity ahead of publication
  • Contribute to the development of products that meet industry needs

Experience / skills required:

  • Previous experience of managing a publication programme, ideally within professional/government or charity publishing
  • A good level of commercial aptitude with the ability to develop strong business cases
  • Able to provide revenue forecasts and experience of marketing concepts
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Highly organised and able to influence at all levels
  • Line management experience
  • Knowledge of food and sustainability issues would be an advantage
