Stock Controller

Can you keep things running like clockwork?

You could be our new Stock Controller.

Joining us at a busy time, you’ll be supporting our Stock Manager in running a busy Stock Management team for Penguin and Random House.

Specifically you will be responsible for direct deliveries and dropships from suppliers to our customers and ensure these run smoothly through our systems (in particular SAP).

Working with our third party printers, and using our various internal systems (both bibliographic and invoicing) your role will be to make sure things are running smoothly with our direct delivery customer orders.

You will also be responsible for embargos, reconciling stock differentials and general trouble shooting and problem solving. For this role a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar logistics role with SAP experience is essential.

You will manage a team who will coordinate the order process, from recording details onto our systems, to raising PO numbers and keeping an eye on stock levels.

You’ll also be working with colleagues in our customer and credit services teams to make sure that we’re invoicing our customers with the right details.

You’ll also work with our sales teams to field any queries that have come through from retailers as well as dealing with queries that may have come through directly to our printers.

If that sounds like your kind of role, you’ll need to be organised, pro-active with some experience in a busy office. You’ll be working with a lot of different systems, so while we’ll be happy to introduce you to our world and provide training, you’ll show us that you’re comfortable with technology and keen to learn.

Finally, you’ll be working with customers as well as a range of colleagues in this role, so being good with people, friendly and helpful will mean that you’re able to go the extra mile.

Please apply with a CV and covering letter by Wednesday 13th December
