The publishing arm of a global membership organisation is looking for an experienced and motivated Marketing Manager to join their Strategic Marketing team. This is a maternity cover contract which is available now until end of September 2022. The Strategic Marketing manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the organisation’s ambitions to grow engagement within the academic research community. This will involve collaborating and working in partnership across the product, service, research, sales and marketing teams to develop exciting new strategic marketing programmes which support the business objectives and will increase awareness and engagement with their products and services. There will be a hybrid working arrangement from the New Year (typically 2 days a week in the office) once the organisation returns to an office working environment.
Working with external and internal stakeholders you will help to articulate the needs of researchers and conduct and interpret market research and create and implement go-to-market strategies.
This is a critical role for the team and the successful person will be able to demonstrate solid experience in marketing strategy and the ability to conduct and interpret market research. A knowledge of the market would be useful, as well as experience of product or programme management. You should have the ability to work well across a number of teams within the business, with a pro-active, can-do approach, and great communication skills as you will be building influential working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders.
