Studio Manager

A well-established supplier of Audiobooks and Digital Services is looking for an organised Studio Manager to handle all studio production. This role will oversee processes from mastering to content supply. You will make sure that the masters meet the company's high quality and in-house style. The role is a full-time, permanent position with hybrid/remote working options. The company is based in the Midlands.

Responsibilities will include (amongst others):

  • Post-production processes for efficiency and quality
  • Management of casting process and developing a talent database for audiobook narration
  • Co-ordination of schedules for staff, including freelancers
  • Overseeing in-house recording and home studio readers
  • Liaising with third party clients
  • Handling department costs to ensure they are in line with budget
  • Liaising with colleagues as required to ensure best practices are adopted
  • Ensuring the studio has effective audio equipment and software

The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in a managerial position in studio production. You will be able to demonstrate experience of sound engineering and audio production. You will be strong digital skills (Microsoft Office, Excel) as well as great communication and time management skills, comfortable corresponding with authors, actors and agents.
