Subscriptions Marketing Co-ordinator (3.5 days per week)

A leading publishing organisation based in the Cambridgeshire area is looking for a part-time Subscriptions Marketing Assistant to work with the Sales & Marketing teams on multi-channel campaigns for institutional libraries worldwide. This role will also be responsible for managing the attendance at international library conferences and for maintaining the Library Hub section of the company’s website. (This does not include traveling to conferences). The organisation offers a hybrid working arrangement but they are currently working from home.

This is an interesting and varied role which would suit someone who is looking for a part-time role and who has some experience in a marketing role, ideally from a publishing background.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role involve:

  • Email campaigns – liaising with sales and marketing teams to prioritise and prepare email campaigns targeted at subscribers and new members
  • Update the Library Hub section of the website, including regular updates to the participating institutions, library news, events and author/library feedback webpages
  • Liaise with sales and marketing teams to research, prioritise and book attendance at conferences and events worldwide
  • Liaise with external designers as necessary to prepare and update marketing information and liaise with sales colleagues to ensure that agents and intermediaries have the latest marketing materials
  • Maintain and improve the Press list
  • Be the key point of contact between the sales and marketing teams

This is a role where no two days are the same, and the successful person will have some proven experience in a marketing role. You will have sound copywriting, proof-reading skills along with great communication and organisational skills. Experience of updating websites would be an advantage, as would experience of database marketing and experience of using a CRM system.
