Technical Customer Consultant

Our client, a leading professional organisation serving the library market is seeking a Technical Customer Consultant to join their Operations Team based in the North East - they are more than happy for the successful candidate to work flexibly from home, with an expectation to visit the office once every couple of weeks. This is a technical role, responsible for delivering installations, upgrades and technical services to customers using their cloud-based software.

The Technical Customer Consultant will work in a crucial role within the operations team, with key responsibilities including:

  • Receiving and progressing logged support calls
  • Developing and improving technical services procedures
  • Analysing errors and investigating system and application logs
  • Extracting and loading data

The successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent experience in an IT related subject with experience in technical customer service. Strong analytical skills are essential alongside superb communication skills. Experience in Windows and UNIX operating systems is essential with knowledge of scripting or programming skills. Some knowledge of programmes such as EXProxy, LDAP and SAML would be an advantage.
