Technical Publications Designer

Our client, a renowned professional publisher, are looking for a Technical Publications Designer to work in their Central London office.

Reporting to the Web and Design Manager you will be responsible for producing and designing technical publications, performing the following duties:
·creation of the print ready artwork for all hard copy and digital publications;
·maintaining an efficient production process;
·ensuring a high standard of accuracy at all times;
·adhere to brand guidelines and style sheets;
·complete the layout of technical publications;
·support senior designers in production of marketing material where required;
·ensure clear, open and effective relationships are maintained both internally and externally;
·contribute to the administration of the artwork / logo filing system;
·deal with adhoc duties, as required.

The company offers a competitive salary with excellent benefits and therefore are seeking candidates
who possess expert level InDesign skills, a relevant design degree and three years proven work experience, as a publications designer. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and experience of working on a Mac. Good knowledge of MS Office would also be required and an understanding of HTML and CSS would be desirable. You will have proven organisational, communication and project management skills, as well as a meticulous eye for detail. As a self-motivated individual the ideal candidate will have the ability to work to tight deadlines confidently. A creative role, requiring communication with all levels of staff and a flexible approach, this position is great for a problem solving, team player.
