Temp Marketing Executive

Do you have a background in book marketing and can hit the ground running? We are looking for a Temp Marketing Executive with an excellent knowledge of the current marketing landscape to join a leading trade publisher in Oxford! You will work across their well-established range of military history and heritage titles. To start ASAP until the New Year, this is a full time position but with the option to be part-time.

Marketing Executive Key duties:

  • Create and implement marketing campaigns to drive sales and maximise profit
  • Write engaging and persuasive copy
  • Brief and co-ordinate design for promotional marketing materials
  • Negotiate and reserve customer and trade advertising both print and online
  • Manage the creation and distribution of trade and consumer catalogues
  • Ensure media coverage of titles by managing relationships with print and online reviewers and liaising with freelance publicists
  • Organise and attend conventions and events in the UK and abroad

Marketing Executive Experience / skills required:

  • Solid experience in book marketing to hit the ground running
  • Knowledge and understanding of the current marketing landscape
  • Knowledge of community building, social media, email and online advertising
  • Solid experience in book marketing to hit the ground running
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Good copywriting, proofreading and project management skills
  • A strong multi-tasker and good time management to be able to work on several projects simultaneously
  • A passion for and knowledge of military history
  • A full driving license is desirable but not essential
