Temp Web Content Manager

A trade publisher of Christian faith titles in Oxford is looking for a Web Content Manager to join their team on a part-time, 3 days a week, fixed term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a digital savvy person with a background as an editor or experience in marketing/content writing who requires flexible working. To start asap until May.

Key duties:
•           Responsible for content for company website including written text, multimedia, and images
•           Writing engaging web text and managing basic web design such as creating landing pages and linking to social and multimedia        platforms
•           Using web content management systems for quality checking, carry out metadata checks and reporting technical issues to IT support          team
•           Collaborating with e-commerce service providers, website partners and manage corporate postings
•           Attend meetings to feedback web plans to wider company, including website usage and statistics to analyse effectiveness

Experience / skills required:
•           Excellent editorial and writing skills, within a print or online environment 
•           Familiarity with digital publishing products and processes
•           Understanding of digital books marketing with a solid understanding book metadata
•           Excellent technical, communication and team-working skills
•           Ability to multitask and work efficiently to tight deadlines
•           content Management experience highly desirable
•           Knowledge of web design, desktop publishing and photo editing would be useful
•           Proficiency in MS outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint, ideally with knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop

 

GOR: Due to the nature of publications and the author community that they publish, this role has a Genuine Occupational Requirement (GOR) to be a practicing Christian in communion with a Christian community whose statement of faith aligns with the Nicene Creed. This is an occupational requirement as permitted in accordance with schedule 9, part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
