Temporary Editor

A leading Educational Publishing organisation focused on developing print and digital resources for teachers and learners around the globe is seeking an Editor to join their friendly, supportive team on a temporary basis. This role offers great flexibility and remote working with an immediate start, and is for an initial c. 3 month contract.

As Editor you will be responsible for supporting all editorial aspects of both digital and print production for educational products and services. Editors may be responsible for editorially supporting both print and digital product development, and ideally will have experience in both. The role requires an individual to be adept at using editorial tools and techniques, including the use of content management systems. As Editor you will work within a project team, delivering educational content and products that make best use of the print/electronic medium, and have high pedagogical value.

The ideal Editor will have excellent copyediting and proofreading skills and experience for both print and digital content, as well as the ability to understand and consistently apply the principles of good instructional design, along with meticulous attention to detail. Specialist Maths and / or Science subject knowledge to contribute to educational materials, or Editorial experience with Maths / Science curriculum resources, would be highly valuable.
