Temporary Editorial Manager

A leading Educational Publishing organisation focused on developing print and digital resources for teachers and learners around the globe is seeking an Editorial Manager to join their friendly, supportive team on a temporary basis. This role offers great flexibility and remote working with an immediate start, and is for an initial c. 3 month contract.

Working closely with colleagues and clients the temporary Editorial Manager will be the editorial lead on one or more educational projects. The Editorial Manager will be responsible for managing schedules, budgets and relationships with clients, and other 3rd party suppliers, as well assisting in the management of work for in-house editorial teams. The role requires a thorough understanding of editorial processes that apply to the development and production of both print and digital educational content. The Editorial Manager will work within project teams, delivering complex content and products that make best use of the print/electronic medium, and that have high pedagogical value.

The ideal Editorial Manager will have solid experience as an Editor and more specifically, experience of delivering print and/or digital editorial work for the education market, along with exceptionally high quality standards and attention to detail. Specialist Maths and / or Science subject knowledge to contribute to educational materials, or Editorial experience with Maths / Science curriculum resources, would be highly valuable.
