Temporary Publishing Officer

Our client is a leading institution and publisher of resources for the Christian community - they are now looking for a temporary publishing officer to join their team starting in mid-August for circa. 3 months to support with the creation of time-critical resources in their editorial, marketing and communications teams.

This is a hybrid role, working in the Central London office 2/3 days a week on a 35 hour week. We are looking for someone who can start immediately who can confidently come in and hit the ground running with the following key responsibilities:

• Compiling, editing and checking copy for digital and print publications
• Briefing designers and freelancers where needed
• Proofreading new digital and print titles across a range of titles
• Project management of multi-component resources

The successful candidate will have a good mix of copyediting and general editorial skills, comfortable working across print and digital. Exceptional organisation skills are essential, as well as the ability to follow a brief and deliver high quality editorial work. Experience in publishing is essential, ideally working across books, ebooks or digital publications. Any awareness of the Christian faith would be advantageous.
