Senior Development Editor

This is a great opportunity to join this market leading global publishing house in a role for a candidate with textbook publishing experience. To manage a portfolio of textbooks from contract to completion. To manage one report to support objectives. To manage freelance staff. Creating a project plan and a market development strategy for each textbook, setting and agreeing schedules with authors and internal team members and managing the delivery of print and digital materials on time and to plan.  Carrying out market development activities to promote adoptions prior to publication and using a variety of market research techniques to find out about teaching/learning and identify needs.

• Experience in academic textbook publishing ideally

• A confident individual with excellent communication skills

• Project management skills

• Good organisational skills

• Staff mentor/manager
