The Bookery is an award-winning bookshop & community hub in the market town of Crediton, near Exeter. Set up as a not-for-profit social enterprise our book sales help to fund our work supporting literacy and community well-being.

We are looking for a creative bookshop manager with exceptional customer service skills and a keen eye for detail to run our thriving independent bookshop. You will be responsible for administering the operations of the bookshop: increasing sales, displays & marketing, ordering, stock management, liaising with community partners, championing our mission and ensuring that the bookshop is contributing to the wider purposes and activities of the organisation. 

This position will be for 4 or 5 days per week (32-40hpw), the initial contract will be for 12 months with the intention of making the position permanent thereafter. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with the right skills and experience, working as part of a small team, to make a significant contribution to the organisation and the communities we serve.

There is a 3 bedroom flat above the business which can be discussed as part of the package.
