Salary:                   £23,000 - £28,000 (depending on experience)

Triglyph Books is a publishing house focussing on high-end illustrated books. Founded in 2019 by celebrated international photographer, Dylan Thomas, and award-winning editor and writer Clive Aslet.

Job description 

We have an opening for an editorial assistant to join our growing team. 

Your tasks will be varied but will include:

  • Providing administrative support to the Editorial Team
  • Assisting with manuscript revision and development feedback
  • Communicating with the authors to ensure timely delivery of content and assisting with author queries
  • Preparing manuscripts for handover to production to agreed standards and on schedule
  • Putting together briefs for designers
  • Drafting contracts for new projects; ensuring signed contracts are returned in a timely way
  • Responding promptly and appropriately to external and internal queries
  • Providing basic editorial project reports
  • Providing administrative support for the team (filing, photocopying, etc)
  • Taking minutes during editorial meetings
  • Writing copies for promotional content and social media
  • Carrying our proofreading tasks as required 
  • Represent the company at events and present projects in internal meetings
  • Identify development opportunities for publications
  • Work on new business editorial proposals

Skills, experience and qualifications

An editorial assistant will need to have a love of books and an understanding of the luxury brand market.

The roll holder will require:

  • The ability to think creatively and commercially
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines
  • A proactive approach to work
  • Tenacity and self-motivation

Preferred qualifications 

  • A degree is preferable, but not essential
  • A strong general knowledge of books and the digital world
  • Exceptional standard of written and verbal English
