Production Controller

A leading publishing house of high-end illustrated books Triglyph Books is looking to recruit an experienced book production professional to join the production team based in our riverside offices in Forest Row, East Sussex.

As Production Controller, you will be responsible for controlling the production process of your books through to delivery, dealing with printers, costings and negotiating with printers, shipping and external suppliers.

Other key responsibilities will include scheduling, liaising with editors and freelance typesetters, copyeditors, proofreaders, indexers etc and send/receive materials as the process requires, as well as anticipating any production issues that may arise, but being pro-active in solving them.

Working in a small, friendly team you will work closely with editorial, design and sales teams and deal with purchase and shipping orders.

This is a fabulous production opportunity for someone who might be working as a Production Assistant within a books environment and is looking for the next level of responsibility, or a Production Controller looking for a more varied and exciting list to work on.

You will have a solid grasp of both 4 colour and mono production work, as well as fantastic multi-tasking, organisation and communication skills.

You should have the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and deliver books to a high standard.
