UK Sales Manager

Inspired Selection are working exclusively with Magic Cat to recruit their new UK Sales Manager to join this multi award-winning children's publisher. Magic Cat are an incredible publisher, renowned for crafting engaging and inspirational stories that captivate the imaginations of young readers. Their beautifully illustrated books go beyond mere storytelling, seamlessly weaving themes of kindness, togetherness, friendship, and inclusivity into their narratives.

As the UK Sales Manager, you will report into the Senior Leadership team and be pivotal in driving their sales strategy and enhancing their market presence throughout the UK. Your responsibilities will include managing key accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and nurturing strong relationships with retailers, distributors, and other partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sales strategy
• Create and manage annual sales budgets
• Increase sales revenue
• Analyse market trends and sales data.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key retailers and distributors
• Lead and mentor the sales team.
• Collaborate with editorial, marketing, and production teams.

The ideal candidate will have proven sales management experience in publishing, preferably in children's books, with strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. They should have experience in team leadership and sales strategy development, along with a solid familiarity with the UK book market. A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel are essential.
