The role

Bristol University Press (BUP), along with its award-winning imprint Policy Press (PP), is a leading international publisher of social science books and journals.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident Sales Assistant to provide sales and customer administrative support to the Sales division. This role reports directly into the Global Sales Manager.

What will you be doing?

You will support the BUP sales team with administrative tasks and play an important role in handling enquires, and suppling information, to our UK and international sales representatives, agents, key accounts and distributors.

Customer service is an important part of the role and you will act as the first point of contact for day-to-day sales and customer queries for books and eBooks.

You should apply if

You will have strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities. Independence and initiative will be required to meet tight deadlines; accuracy and attention to detail are crucial.

You will have experience of working in a sales or customer service administrative role in a busy office environment and ideally you will have some knowledge of publishing process. Most importantly you will bring a positive, can-do approach to the team.
