UX Manager

An independent publisher of amazing trade, academic and professional titles is setting up a brand new UX team! They are looking for talented User Experience candidates to join them and help them deliver a new UX strategy across their entire academic digital portfolio. They would particularly love to hear from candidates who have worked on user experience projects and product development within a publishing organisation, and who will understand the specific needs and user journey of their audience.

They offer a hybrid working model with 2 days a week in the London office.

As UX Manager, you will be:

  • Overseeing user experience projects aimed at improving the team's understanding of user needs and translating findings into actionable requirements and use cases
  • Leading the introduction of best practice for user-focused platform design, accessibility and development
  • Managing resources for various UX related projects and help promoting the importance of UX within the wider company
  • Creating wireframes and prototypes, working with colleagues in Editorial, Product Management and Content Architecture to define requirements for various platforms enhancements and new features
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders, technical teams and developers to improve user experience and usability of all digital products and platforms
  • Carrying out analysis of web usage and managing documentation pertaining to UX and functionality

The ideal candidate will demonstrate relevant user experience work, ideally in a publishing context, and will show passion for digital product development. Although this role is not extremely technical, candidates need to be able to communicate with technical teams and developer, and it would help if they had knowledge of HTML/CSS as well as project management methodologies.

For a full description of the role, please send your CV with a brief paragraph outlining your relevant skills.

Closing Date: Early applications may be prioritised.
