Video Producer (Education)

A leading EdTech company based in central London has an exciting new opportunity for a Producer to be responsible for delivering high-quality short-form educational video content. The role offers flexible / hybrid working, along with a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.

Reporting to the Production Manager, as Producer your main remit will be to be the project lead on individual projects, throughout pre-, during and post-production, and you will be responsible for delivering against the market and pedagogical requirements specified by the commissioning team. Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver educational filming projects as allocated by the Production Manager
  • Work with the commissioning team to understand the market and project requirements and turn them into a fully fledged, workable a/v concept. This will be a mixture of new and existing content strands.
  • Oversee your projects end-to-end - pre-, during and post-production - ensuring quality is maintained and the project brief is adhered to throughout
  • Work with the Production Manager to source, contract and brief freelance cast and creatives
  • Manage project budgets and schedules
  • Plan an optimal filming schedule and run the set during rehearsal and filming
  • Work with freelance editors on the post-production process, including trailers, taking ownership of creative QA and coordinating feedback from the commissioning and development team

The ideal Producer in this role will have solid experience as an video Producer or Assistant Producer, ideally within education, and experience of running their own projects. The Producer will be adept at working collaboratively to turn a project brief/concept into a workable project, injecting creative thinking to optimise the value for the end users, and be confident briefing and managing cast/contributors and creatives. As Producer you will need sufficient technical knowledge to manage and QA a post-production process and have great enthusiasm for all aspects of the production process.
