Website Manager

We are urgently looking for an experienced Website Manager for a 6 - 7 month Fixed term contract for one of professional association clients based in London. The role offers a hybrid office/home style of working.

The role of Web Manager is there to look after an established online presence across their website, email and social platforms. Reporting into the Director of External Communications, you will be responsible for ensuring the website team keeps all content up to date and in line with house style. The web team are responsible for publishing new content as well as keeping a close eye on the usage data, user experience and functionality. There is a fantastic technical/it team in house that you will work very closely with to ensure that the website is functioning at it's best.

We are looking for someone who is available to ideally start at the beginning of December 2020 and can demonstrate the following:

Qualifications and experience

  • Previous experience in a website management role, preferably with an editorial background
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of using:
    • Web CMSs (ideally Adobe Experience Manager)
    • Web processes, eg SEO, W3C accessibility guidelines, usability best practice
  • Management experience
  • Previous experience of website building / re-design projects
  • Intermediate knowledge of HTML for web and email

  • Strong English language writing and oral skills, in particular the ability to:
    • Write clearly and succinctly
    • Edit the content of others for clarity and accuracy and make recommendations and improvements
  • High level of attention to detail and fastidious grammar
  • Diplomatic team-player who can work effectively and collaboratively with individuals at all levels
  • Positive attitude; high degree of integrity and professionalism; ability to remain composed under pressure
  • Proactive problem-solver who can use their skills and initiative to work autonomously, whilst remaining alert to the need to consult and update colleagues as appropriate
  • Excellent organisation skills; ability to effectively plan and manage own work
  • Ability to work flexibly, respond to conflicting demands on an urgent and ad- hoc basis and prioritise workload appropriately
