Skills | You will have some experience of working in a general book production department (preferably on Children’s books), and knowledge and understanding of children’s mono books, printing requirements and some colour management. Excellent attention to detail and a good understanding of pre-press, typesetting, and mono production processes is a must. You will have a good commercial sense and ability to manage targets for production costs and schedules. You will have a keen enthusiasm for creating beautiful quality predominantly mono books within the children’s book genres. With a willingness to learn more about pre-press and production processes, you will want to expand on your knowledge and experience when the opportunities arise. You will be highly organised and with support from your manager, be able to manage multiple deadlines, prioritising and communicating effectively.
